Japanese carrier KDDI is planning to introduce in Q4 (around late November) a business-oriented tabled made by Asus which runs Android 3.2, packs a 7-inch (1280 x 800) touchscreen, and features a durable construction that makes it shock-resistant as well as water- and dust-proof.
Called TOUGH-ETBW11AA, the upcoming tablet measures 215 x 132 x 22.2 mm, it weights about 620 grams, and has WiMAX and 3G support, a 1 GHz Tegra 2 (dual-core) chip, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, GPS, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 7,400 mAh battery. The device has yet to be priced.
