Samsung Galaxy MegaWe knew Samsung was planning more devices, but we didn't expect the arrival of two Galaxy Mega smartphones at the same time. Both are apparently headed to Europe some time next month, continuing to prove that Samsung are willing to test out any screen-size.

The 6.3-inch model has an 'HD display' (we're chasing the precise resolution, though it's likely 720p) alongside a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, Android 4.2 and an 8-megapixel camera.

LG Viper 4G LTEEveryone is talking about going green these days, and it makes perfect sense, too. After all, we have but a single earth here, so if we are not going to take affirmative action to go green ourselves, who else is? Sprint, one of the big four mobile carriers in the US, will be offering the LG Viper 4G LTE smartphone later this month, where it will retail for a mere $99.99 with a spanking new two-year service agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate. Current and existing customers who are interested will be able to place a pre-order for the LG Viper from next Thursday onwards.

I do wonder, however, as to why this puppy has been named after a venomous snake. After all, isn’t it supposed to portray a green image that we can all identify with?

smart phone As we await the official release of the Nokia Lumia 900 in less than a week on AT&T, Nokia is already ramping up its major publicity push for the launch of the Windows Phone-based smartphone. This weekend, Nokia launched a new website, Smartphonebetatest.com, (via WPCentral.com) that is likely to serve as part of the new marketing campaign for the Lumia 900.

The website is counting down to something that will happen on Friday but before that happens, the site is already showing a continuous loop of a video with former Saturday Night Live team member Chris Parnell sitting in some kind of control center. He's clearly bored out of his mind but perhaps whatever the site is counting down to on Friday will keep him occupied.

HTC ONE SAs expected, the first round of HTC One S reviews is finally here. The HTC One S is officially available from retailers across Europe. The HTC One S has taken a back seat, since most have focused their attention on the HTC One X.

But that doesn’t mean the phone is any less capable. When it comes to performance, the HTC One S is just as good (if not better) than the quad-core powered HTC One X; however, that doesn’t necessarily make it a better phone. The main drawback of the One S is its qHD Pentile Super AMOLED display, but we doubt the general public will be able to notice any real shortcomings.
