Firefox 11Ever wonder where the phrase “jump the shark” came from? It’s dates back to the once wildly popular TV show Happy Days. It’s widely accepted that the show lost its way, and its audience, in an episode where the lovable hero “Fonzie” jumps a shark on water skis in a pathetic attempt to keep the audience’s attention. I wonder how if Firefox jumped the shark when its parent company Mozilla decided to put Firefox on a hyper-accelerated release schedule last summer. Today, five releases later, Firefox keeps falling farther behind Google’s Chrome in popularity, it’s not very stable, and it can’t keep up with Chrome in speed.

I’m not happy about this. I’ve used Firefox before it even hit the 1.0 mark. In its early days, Firefox was the best Web browser around. It was the most popular open-source program on Windows for years. Indeed, even if you loved Internet Explorer (IE) and wouldn’t touch Firefox with a ten-foot pole you owe Firefox a debt of gratitude. It was Firefox, which forced Microsoft to finally kill up the horrible IE 6. Today, it’s a different story.

Samsung Galaaxy AceSammy is adding models to its Galaxy family thick and fast, and here’s one that looks like a cut-down Galaxy S. The Samsung Galaxy Ace is one of four siblings in the mid-range Galaxy family launched at the start of the year. It packs lots in for an affordable package.

The Galaxy Ace squeezes in Android 2.2 OS, Samsung’s TouchWiz 3.0 UI and is powered by a 800MHz processor. The screen is 3.5-inches in size and the phone has a 1,350mAh battery. Surprisingly, for its mid-range price, it also has a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash.

Way back in January 2007, after years of hype and anticipation, Microsoft unveiled Windows Vista to a decidedly lukewarm reception by the PC community, IT pros, and tech journalists alike. Instead of a revolutionary next-generation OS that was chock-full of new features, the Windows community got an underwhelming rehash with very little going for it. Oh, and Vista was plagued with performance and incompatibility problems to boot.

When I first received Razer's long-awaited Onza controller for the Xbox 360 earlier this month, I was taken with the design; praising its unique approach to d-pad design, digital button remapping, and its responsive action buttons. While my original assessment stands – it is an awesome controller – I have since found a few notable, albeit minor, issues. The honeymoon isn't over, but our fiery romance has lost some of its luster.

But first, a quick recap for those just joining us.
